Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett is transferred from an ambulance to Memorial Hermann-TIRR, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, to begin the next phase of his rehabilitation after arriving in Houston on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007. Everett sustained a life-threatening spinal cord injury while making a tackle in Buffalo's NFL football season opener at home against Denver on Sept. 9.

Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett returned to his native Texas on Friday to be closer to his family for the next phase of his recovery from a life-threatening spinal cord injury. “Kevin’s trip went pretty good. He stayed awake the entire time. He’s fine,” Eric Armstead, a partner of Everett’s agent, Brian Overstreet, told Sports Betting News.
