
Days after taking safeties in the first two rounds of the NFL draft, the Jets moved closer to parting ways with the safety they took in the first round three years ago. The Jets declined to pick up the 2018 fifth-year option on Calvin Pryor, a source confirmed. That will make him a free agent after this season, if he remains on the team that long. The Jets tried to trade him during the draft, and it would not be shocking if they part ways with him before the season begins in September. Pryor, 24, was taken 18th overall by the Jets in 2014.
