Warriors Reenter Trade Market Searching For Significant MoveWarriors Reenter Trade Market Searching For Significant Move
The Golden State Warriors continue to hang around the playoff picture in the Western Conference and have reemerged in the trade market this week. The Warriors picked up a big win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday with Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II and Kevon Looney playing well. If the Warriors were to make a major trade, some combination of those players would almost certainly be sent out in a deal.
“This is not really a replicable situation and that’s one of the reasons why you keep hearing the Warriors’ names in trade talks,” said Brian Windhorst on NBA Today on Thursday. “And I know a couple of weeks ago Steph Curry said ‘We don’t need to do anything desperate’ and all of a sudden they were out. I’m telling you, in the last few days, I hear the Warriors are dipping their toes back in the trade market to make a significant move. And just not necessarily for some of the name you’ve heard in the past.”
A report from The Athletic on Wednesday indicated that the Warriors were engaging on both Zach LaVine and Jimmy Butler. Golden State’s key stakeholders are believed to prefer LaVine over Butler for a number of factors.

Suns Rebuff Trade Inquiries On Kevin DurantSuns Rebuff Trade Inquiries On Kevin Durant
The Phoenix Suns have turned away trade inquires from rival teams have made on Kevin Durant, sources tell ESPN. Durant has not presented any warning signs that he might request a trade if the Suns don’t reestablish themselves as contenders.
Durant did not sign a one-year, $59.5 million contract extension in October. Durant can sign a two-year, $124 million extension started in mid-June this year.
Durant is averaging 27.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 36.2 minutes as he remains one of the NBA’s best scorers at the age of 36. The Suns acquired Durant at the trade deadline in 2023.

Terry Rozier Investigated By Feds In Illegal Gambling InquiryTerry Rozier Investigated By Feds In Illegal Gambling Inquiry
Terry Rozier is being investigated by federal prosecutors to determine whether he manipulated his performance as part of an illegal sports betting scheme. The same investigation has already led to a criminal charge and a lifetime ban from the NBA for former Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter.
Rozier hasn’t been charged with a crime or accused of wrongdoing. It couldn’t be learned if investigators have determined whether he was deliberately helping bettors.
The game in question took place on March 23, 2023, when Rozier was a member of the Charlotte Hornets. The betting on Rozier was strange enough that day to raise alarms at U.S. Integrity, a firm that works with sports entities, gambling operators and government agencies to monitor betting markets for suspicious activity.
Rozier played just over nine minutes before being substituted out during a timeout. He left with a foot injury and didn’t return. Rozier would miss the remaining eight games for the Hornets
“In March 2023, the NBA was alerted to unusual betting activity related to Terry Rozier’s performance in a game between Charlotte and New Orleans,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said. “The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules. We are now aware of an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York related to this matter and have been cooperating with that investigation.”
